The cuts

A reference photo is the single most useful thing you can bring to a barber. Length is hard to describe verbally; texture is even harder. A photo of a cut you like — even one that's not quite what you want — gives your barber a starting point and lets the consultation focus on the specific tweaks that make the cut yours.

Look for photos with similar hair texture and density to yours, not just a similar style. A skin fade on coarse, dense hair grows in differently than the same fade on fine, straight hair. Both can look sharp; the path to get there is different. Screenshot anything that catches your eye and bring it to the chair.

Your barber will ask before they take a photo. If you'd rather not be photographed, no pressure — we don't take or post anything without explicit permission. If you'd like a copy of the photo for your own social, just ask at the chair and we'll send it over.
